I'm about to close on a home in Fla with a palm tree just like in this vid. All family members that live near by ( 2 block radius ) are bustin my balls to have it taken down in fear it will one day fall and cause property damage. I think it's kool but need to know what are the chances of it falling? Thanks

It's to bad I wasn't close by and I knew about it, because I would have charged nothing to remove it. I transplant lots of big palms, using an excavator and a crane truck. I love palms and the tought of cutting one down upsets me. Any other tree I really don't give a rat's ass.

Let's look at the numbers shall we? Cut down & haul away, $500-$1000. Tree spade, $500 just for showing up, no access for a tree spade? Dig safely around a 50' palm with limited space & safely remove while keeping tree & poolside intact for safe transporting. $5K-$10K. I've worked in Phoenix & an average size pool takes up 80% of an average backyard. Tree huggers, maybe start a nationwide fund to save these trees for homeowners to use unless you want to transplant for free. U do the math!
