Jeff Daniels is still best known as a movie star. In a second career, he's become a successful playwright and founder of the Purple Rose Theatre Co. in his hometown of Chelsea. But in recent years he's added a third element that's taking up more and more of his time: singer-songwriter. With his third album of new material just released, Daniels headlines a concert Saturday night at the Michigan Theater of all Michigan artists that also features Steppin' In It, Josh White Jr. and others.
