I am afraid I have seen more light anomalies through my own scope. You have to understand the distance light has to travel to the moon it is on average close to 260 000 miles away. A telescope has to slice through a heavy atmosphere to see the moon. This causes the light to dance in a sometimes strange manner plus we have heat causing wobble like the haze over hot tarmac on a hot day. The terminator line on the moon is also very up n down caused by shadows dancing off a heavily cratered surface
