Nice fish..it is a shame that you guys were ill prepared to handle it. If your serious about fishing man, look into getting a nice unhooking mat and weigh bag or sling. You can get both for prolly 40 bucks if you shop around.

I heard you say in the vid you didn't wanna hurt it..proper fish handling can go a long way to preserving many of these big fish.

what do you use to catch those cuz i fish in a pond with three 8 lb grass carp a 15 lb grass carp n a 30 lb, 5.5 ft carp. ive been tryin to snag it for weeks but i cant. wat shood i use to catch it

use hulsum bread,make sure you use a small floater too ,just so that you don't spook the fish.its easy,and try to be very quiet if not they will swim away.i also use kernals of sweet corn too,its good to spread it around there area like chumming.

Did it die? It looks like the same that happened to me when I was trying to weigh it. We need a bag to put it inside then weigh it.

yes unfurtunately it did die i was so upset,i learned my lesson by now just like you said i will only weight them if i see they are big enough to compare to my biggest

it looks likes miami by the airport i caught one 30 lb 38 inch on blue lagoon lake using bread they love bread balls at 8 am i feed them all the time so went ready for war thinking they were tarpon i got penn power stick with 50 lb spectra fiber and 80 lb trilene leader and this one was a small one they come up to the side of the canal 3 feet

Carp dont die out of the water that easy as long as they are kept damp you have obviously kept it out of the water for a long time and also the extreme rough handling causing the fish to stress.

Bummer. Well we caught 3 today and all were releases unharmed and alive! It was awesome. My g/f caught one with an experimental strawberry bagel and it worked! I am uploading all 3 videos into 1 so you watch it in a bit.
