  • That looks soooo much better

Was this your first rc plane you ever flew?

How did you practise in the beginning?

    Greetings

    Erik

  • @RikkieRc First Plane ever! Both first plane built and first plane flown! (Hence the maiden flight crash) I think the hardest part about R/C stuff is the radio and trying to figure out how to program it. As for practice I can only really account to playing video games and some simulator time on the computer on display at the hobby shop (real flight G4.5)..... RC powers is great! Dave made it look so easy and (and it is) and I'm hooked. The best part about foamies is....

  • @RikkieRc The initial cost is buying the electronics.... The cost to rebuild the fuselage after several crashes is VERY CHEAP ($2 bucks to replace the WHOLE plane). Minor crashes are easily fixed with packing tape, toothpicks and/or stirsticks! In all my crashes (so far) my electronics have come out air-worthy

  • @heli400 The electronics are the real investment, thats true. I got all my parts except for the transmitter and receiver, they are ordered. In about a week i should have them. I picked the mode 2 transmitter from spektrum ( DX6i ) I saw dave powers using tooth picks and hot glue to repair stuff and that is cheap so thats great. Maybe i should check if i can find some sort of rc game with a real transmitter to practice. That would help to " maybe" keep my plane in 1 piece. :-)

    Thx man

    Erik
