  • Wouldn't have hurt to try and help. Cool footage and all but maybe you should have acted on it. I know it was far down there but there's oviously a way, even if it took u five ten min wouldn't hurt to at least check, I'm sure you'd want everyone in sight working on you if you were under there filmer.

  • Like I Mentioned to another guy who doesn't think real hard....

... race down a steep mountain... into an avalanche over a mile away before fully understanding the hazard? I bet you would jump in front of an airplane that was crashing to help save the passengers? Darwin awards are given to people who think like you.

  • Email - I was one of the guys at the bottom of that mess. It was not a good place to be, there were a couple of guys down in the valley that got really good footage of it as it happend, just waiting for it to hit youtube it might show up on snowandmud also. As for sitting and waiting for it that was not the case at all, I was pointing my sled in the direction of my buddie who was right in the path of it as i thought for sure he was a goin under, anyway bad decision to play there but everyone ok

  • From Rob F

Too close, that was the second one of the day for us, I don't know if you seen the big one up top earlier in the day but we were under it too. After you seen us disapear we headed for the other side, we could not see anything and did not know if the snow was still coming or not. The force of the wind and snow dust accross the valley was simular to you standing on the side of the highway and a semi passing at 110km (unreal) not something I ever want to experience again

  • Received this in the email... worth Sharing I figure.

haha the guy your talking about in your video

the one that got consumed in the powder was my dad

he told me to look up this video.

he has a bunch of pictures at the house from one of the guys at the bottom of the hill by the river took some you can see the powder getting closer and closer to him.

hes lucky he didnt get hurt.

just thought i would say something =)

  • Holly Grail, we were looking down on the last narrows entering the main "play area" ... The only way out! Everyone had to go this way to leave the mountain.

We paused long enough to ensure everyone was OK , Take a photo and Throttle Up.

For what its worth, this wasn't the biggest Avalanche of the day... just the one we got on video.

This place has it's hazards, but it's worth it. It's Awesome.

  • Just seemed like the hope was lost a little to easy or a little to soon, i may not jump in front of a plane but thinking of my tripod might be further down the list is all.

  • o man thats a bad slide, i was there this april it was a amazing trip

  • look how far away they are, i would think about it before i went down i would go help but i would go ass first down into there, i would sit there till it was safe enough to go down or you all could get stuck and be in a real tight situation, If anything i would wait for the sound of sleds before going down

  • Because people suffering on film is hilarious.

  • this is fun
