I believe that this does happen more in online that live.. But the reason that it does IMO is - 1st you play up to 10x as many hands online as live.. 2nd its easier for online opponents to call with drawing hands when all you have to do is click a mouse botton and you know you dont have to face your opponent..

magic that happens at low tournaments 2 ,3 5 $ that you play that doesnt happen at big tournaments like sunday million sunday warmup etc
