In 2010 Jonathan Davis from Korn contacted Ross Robinson the man who recorded their debut album as well as their second album Life is Peachy. Korn wanted to reinvent themselves once again but recapture the fire of the first two albums. This is what happened.

  • WHY DO THESE RAW MIXES SOUND SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FINALS??? I WANT THESE

  • You know a band is on the way out when they feel nostalgic. Truth.

  • the album wasn't mixed very well. I like the album, but it shouldve been mixed differently i think anyway. these songs sound a lot better live.

  • @tingkagol Totally agree with you. Been thinking the same thing for a long time. A funk or for lack of a better term "pop" sounding snare sounds best in almost all situations. All these radio rock bands and even most metal bands in the last few years think the snare should sound like it's off a Def Leppard album from 1986.

  • this video should be called .... "EVERY TIME JOHNATHAN WORKS WITH ROSS HE CRIES LIKE A BITCH " lol .... cmon .... im all about emotion on the record but 3d times the charm for me ... i love hearing grown ass men cry like lil bitches lol exp when they are in the most HEAVY band on earth .... im even sure it was genuine, i just think that Ross is more of a "therapist" to jon more than a producer lol....sniffle sniffle sob sob

  • @tingkagol I actually hate high pitch snare drums. A lot of other people feel this way at this point in time. Someday they'll make a comeback. Stuff like that always does.

  • They've brought Ross Robinson back. Now all they need to do is bring back the piccolo snare or something similar. This 'muddy' snare that seems to be catching on with a lot of hard rock bands these days is just sloppy and dull, and these bands think they sound heavy and shit. Seriously. WTF was wrong with the piccolo?

  • This guy got to rule over korn during the entire recording process.. Pretty awesome

  • Um... The song that Ross made Jon sing to Deven was "Are You Ready To Live?" Not "Holding All Thee Lies."

  • awesome
