Megatron - Chu Ishikawa (Soundtrack from Tetsuo the Iron Man)

Industrial opening tune to one of the greatest sci-fi horror movies ever! The story is about a man who turns into a metal monster after he is hit by a car. Some of the most trippy and unsettling special effectsused in cinema - the music adds a lot to the overal atmosphere.

  • @dawood88 hehe - from "Akira"? wrong film my friend :D

Although, both Tetsuo's transform in similar ways - strange connection!

  • @badegg3210 Yep but tetsuo is "a bit" more weird/insane.

  • @dawood88 aw yea!

  • It's about a metal fetish guy who gets hit by a car. He eventually becomes a cyborg monster who seeks revenge on the driver(businessman) and his girlfriend because they dumped his 'dead' body in a forest. The businman and girfriebd become cybermonsters as well because the metal fetish guy transmits the cyber virus to them. Eventually the businessman / cybermonster battles the metal fetish cyber monster then eventually join forces to turn the world into metal..

  • it's this track that got me into industrial. the end scene where it's featured is the best end sequence to any film, ever made.

  • @dark7element If you say so. I just don't see it. It's clearly a mushroom cloud, but people keep seeing fucking penises in every god damn thing, so whatever. It makes sense thematically, I guess, but maybe you're giving Freud a bit too much credit?

  • @crazeeborg

It was a pretty cool, and very avant garde, film. It makes THX-1138 look like Sunday school, lol.(Although, personally, I do think THX is a better movie.) I d/led and watched it back '05, when I was deep into my whole high school, drug-using 'goth; persona, I felt obligated to watch the movie partially because of that, but it was an excellent piece of cinema, in its own, somewhat freaky, way.

  • The movie is more about an artificial environment, a state of life that soaks us in and tunrs us into a part the environment. More about the de-humanisation of an industrial life that treats people like machines, parts of a big machine.

  • @crazeeborg thanks for the info. although i watched the original film and the two sequels, at the time of watching i never determined more of the plot than "a guy got hit by a car and turned into a metal monster with rockets".

  • @badegg3210 well, that tetsuo was an inpiration of this one.. i would say that one was insane/ unstable, and crazydick tetsuo was weird guy

  • @Tirranek not a bad idea.

  • @BossHossGT500 I see remix potential. Oh yes.

  • @Tirranek FUCK, now you got me hearing it. >:(

  • Hmm can't tell if he made badass soundtrack using musical instruments, or an abandoned steel mill

  • Chu Ishikawa is genius! I love his music so much! :D
