Rajiv Malhotra debates Mark Tully, eminent BBC correspondent who has lived most of his life in India and is highly regarded as a lover of Indian civilization.
Conversion is devil's business, not God's. Whatever Pope strongly believe, if it infringes on liberty of others, it is a crime. Many converts in India send Xmas greetings to Hindus. A Hindu wishing a Christian makes sense, but the opposite is simply taking advantage of one's nicety. School are another channel for christians to convert people. Hijacked Indian govt gives license to many christian schools and people are mentally pushed to go to these schools to get their ward admitted somewhere!
@geekamails From my understanding he doesn't criticize Arya Samaj or ISCON. I saw some speeches by him and he talks about unity and at this point there is no need to fight among ourselves. This includes all the Dharmic faiths.
Christianity is a groupism created by evil german/british land pirates (globalists) to convert gullible, divide the society and use their laws to subdue countries and humanity.
@prasadgc What I sensed is that "Mark Tully" was on a defensive mode. Maybe, by presenting the "purvapaksha" so articulately in this book RM caught him on the back-foot.
I know the purpose of this discussion was to promote Rajiv Malhotra's book, but I felt that he (RM) was not being a good listener at all. He would constantly talk over Mark Tully, interrupt him when he was about to make a point, and wait for him to finish a sentence so he could have his say, without actually listening to what Mark was saying. That's not a good way to achieve mutual respect. Let the other person have his say in full, and listen to him!
The point about the historical concept of jesus is something most hindus that are accepting of all religions do not get. It is just an important part of Christianity that they just don't get.
Nice discussion.
What comes out is that Mark Tully doesn't want to face or acknowledge the deep contradictions of his Christian faith and his liberal worldview.

31:30 Authentication of Jesus' resurrection by vested interest cannot be considered authentic!

When they have these discussions, I feel like they leave out the monotheistic Hindu perspective. Examples would be Arya Samaj and Ayya Vaikundar.
