i had a ticket to the show but i also had a job oppturnity at this time and i miss the best show ever but i ended up working for 32 yrs at the same company..... bah bah bah
I was 16 and didn't have much to compare it to at the time, but many many concerts later this still rates as probably my best concert experience. Read in a book recently, there were 95,000 people there. I remember leaving the concert, I was able to lift my feet off the ground and be carried away by the crowd as we were crammed in like livestock. The crowd was mooing and oinking and making other animal noises as we worked our way through the tunnels. BEST BAND EVER!!!
I was there. The press box colums had ladders in the center of them.We had hopped the chain link fence to get up there.Andy Frain ushers chasing people. We saw a guy climb down from the center of one.We walked up to it and could see dark sky and stars. So we looked at each other and said wtf.We climbed the ladder and stood on top of Soldier Field looking down at the Pink Floyd and the Chicago Sky Line at night. Im a Chicago boy, born and raised and I saw ALOT of concerts but that had to be No.1.
No one opened for them at this concert. We got there in the heat of the day and left well after 11:00PM. I will Never forget it. We sat exactly on the 40 yard line. The pigs with there laser red eyes were unbelievable. The quad system was amazing!! The Super Bowl of Rock and all for $10.00!
