@mtm1104 If you play the 16th note example which is counted as 1e&a, 2e&a,3e&a,4e&a you play the kick drum as shown in brackets:
(1)e&(a), 2e&(a), 3e(&)a, 4e&a. Sorry it looks clearer if it were highlighted in bold but youtube doesnt have formatting. There is no kick on beat 4, its just hat and snare. Hope that makes sense, slow it right down whilst counting in 16th notes and it should be a lot easier to play.

another comment from a dip shit who thinks they know everything. Caprizzle you couldnt have said it better. This is meant for a beginner. Lay off they guy...I have given drum lessons before and its no easy task. When a person begins their journey as a drummer they start from nothing and work their way up. Every drummer goes through this. Stop being a jackass and recognize who this video was intended for.
