This is only half the story--the positive half. Then negative half is when the riot police came in hitting people with trunchons and backed up with police dogs. And that isn't even a joke--a peaceful mass protest was broken up by use of violence. This, despite a parliamentary report criticising the police for being to harsh in dealing with protestors, which was released only days prior to the g20.
