A little wild foraging in the friendly local neighborhood =)

The majority of bamboo in the world are edible with some species tasting better than others. Only a handful are said to be poisonous but you would have to eat a lot to feel any effect (like eating a lot of raw green tomatoes). When in doubt eat with moderation. To make it safer soak the bamboo over night to leech out any harmful toxin and cook well.
