Jim Page sings "Gasworks Park" at Gasworks Park

Jim Page arrived in Seattle in June of 1971. One of the first places he fell in love with was Gasworks Park. He wrote this beautiful song to tell the story of why it's special to him. Gasworks Park is on Jim's 15th album entitled "Seattle Songs."

We decided to record the song on the beautiful evening of May 12, 2011.

Brilliant! Great song, well performed (as always for Jim Page.) But also the great concept for the video.It gave me the chills when I realized what was going on, and of course the single take and showing the passer-bys just underscored the lyrics. Fearless (another trait of this prolific songwriter.) OK so I'm a fan, can you blame me?

@coolanddark i can see why u love this so much Dan, hope u run into mr jim page someday there, beings it sounds like u maybe stop by this park now and then?...it would be so cool if u two played something together someday! next time u go to the park u should take ur guitar and just sit down on a bench and sing and play away....that is ..If ur allowed to do that without getting picked up for any reason..u never know in the cities. in this town u could , but possibly where u live, maybe not!?
