Kevin Costner Interview where he talks about spirituality and love and his children

I've always appreciated interviews with my favorite celebrities when they're done by foreign journalists -- primarily the European ones. In America, there's always a dumbing down in the questions (and consequently in the responses), as if there is an assumption Americans can't handle a more meaningful, deeper conversation. But the British and other European cultures always seem to ask the more intriguing questions and this is quite evident in the BBC interview below where Costner talks about his childhood, his spiritual beliefs, his relationships, his children, and his views about our country's founding. The picture quality isn't very good, but it still beats anything you'd see on Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood.

I love his honesty - I almost feel like this man's notoriety as an actor detracts massively from his profundity as a person because people generally associate him with the latest release and not the consistency of who he has been on and off screen for a long time.

A few friends of mine once, whilst they were engaged, were mistaken as his guests in the restaurant and, not knowing who he was, asked if they could use the other side of the table-he was very kind about it. I'd love to meet him :)

I was really surprised about Kevin's honesty and openness. Not many actors have the courage to go in that direction in interview. I love the way he feels about these subjects. I have always had a soft spot for him. We love his films. "Revenge" has to be my favourite.

Sought out this video out of admiration for his work, and glad I did. Have never seen him interviewed til now. Wanted this most recently posted one. He seems to have the character I'd guessed he had.
