As we stated several times in the reviews, motorcycle security is a matter of layers. A siren may discourage some casual theivery. A lock may discourage more serious attempts. A ground anchor and bolt even more. A locked garage more than that. But there is never any single solution. A determined thief will get the item if they want to. The purpose of a disk lock with an alarm is to discourage casual theft. It's certainly better than leaving the bike totally unsecure.

I had this lock and lost the key for it today,and my enginerring teacher at college had it off my bike in under one min with a hammer and chisel. Just thought I would say how easily this can be broken off.

I have a question! if someone stick in an aluminium foil between the sensor will hack the alarm ?

i have one, but i had to take the batterys out cuz the alarm started to activate by itself randomly.Even after fresh batterys.Don't think i'd buy it again.
