The rattlesnakes are related to Viper or Viperidae family.
There are a total of approximately 30 different species of rattlesnakes such as the Guianian rattlesnake and the Western pygmy rattlesnake.
The most poisonous rattlesnake is the Eastern diamondback rattlesnake.
The average rattlesnake has a life span of an amazing 20 years!
The average rattlesnake growths to a length of 1 meter to 2.4 meters.
Rattlesnakes usually inhabit areas such as deserts, forests, mountains and dry areas, although some rattlesnakes, such as the Eastern Diamondback prefer more humid environments.
The rattle of a rattlesnake can be heard around 60 feet away!
The largest rattlesnake roundup is located in Sweetwater Texas, JUST 30 MILES from my house!

In Mid July, 2010, a rattlesnake was found near Whitwell, TN that measured:
14ft 9in, 24 rattles, 2 buttons, and 100lbs

  • @rvynmoon77 at what point can you see the tail, you can see the tail of another snake (different rattlesnake varieties can co-habitate) the tail of the snake that is moving in the pic disappears into a pile of wood

  • CORRECTION,,,,THATS AN EASTERN DIAMONDBACK

  • @TOMMCG348 How can you tell??? I was told that a western diamondback has a black and white striped tail while an eastern diamondback has a grayish or brown and black striped tail.... in this vid, you can not see the tail
