  • This is great. Is it worth knowing much scale theory? I've just started lead, but love the gypsy swing sound so went straight onto that, but I know it's sort of like running before you can walk

  • To understand chords you need to understand scales; chords come from scales. To solo over a set of chords (chord progression) you derive your notes from the scale.

    so mozart had some jazz influences :P

  • Has that "eastern" sound because the scale source contains a minor third interval followed by a half step.
