Two Different Worlds Collide [Ch 28]

[Cassies POV]
I woke up feeling like crap. I looked at my surroundings and the brightness of the plain white room hurt my eyes. I looked to my left and saw Michael asleep on a couch still in his Romeo costume. I looked to a big chair where selena was asleep on nicks lap. My Cinderella dress was laid out on a different chair. My head was throbbing. I sat up in my bed and nick woke up.
Nick: oh your up.
Cass: good morning sunshine.
He smiled and ran his fingers through his curly hair. He looked down at selena and smiled. He carefully got up from under her
Nick: gave us quiet a scare there cass.
Cass: sorry.
Nick: how come you didnt tell us?
Cass: didnt want you to feel sorry for me. Or think that Im a freak.
Nick: your not a freak cass. Why would we treat you different?
Cass: cuz I have a condition. I dont want people to pitty me or to think that Ill just start twitching all the time. I dont want to feel like a bother.
Nick: wanna know something?
Cass: depends. My head hurts.
He laughed and shook his head.
Nick: I have a CONDITION too.
I looked at him confused. How could nick Jonas have a condition? He was perfect. Sweet, kind, caring, perfect curls. There was no way this boy could have something wrong with him.
Cass: let me guess..those curls on your head are caused by some freaky disease no one knows how to cure except with a flat iron.
Nick: funny.
I laughed and rolled my eyes.
Nick: no. I have diabetes.
I was shocked. I looked at him confused. I never would have thought in a million years that nick Jonas had diabetes.
Cass: really?
Nick: yes maam.
Mike: youre up.
I turned to see Michael yawing.
Cass: hey. Was it that bad?
Mike: worse than the last.
Cass: oh.
Mike: Cassandra where were your pills?
His voice sounded stern. The only time Michael calls me by my full name is if he is angry and upset.
Cass: I-I dont know.
Mike: you know you have to have them with you. You know you cant skip a dose. Did you forget to take it?
Cass: I dont know ok!
Nick: um. Im gonna take sel home. Well come tomorrow morning ok cass.
Cass: bye.
Nick picked selena up and walked out of the room. The tension between my brother and I was so thick I could barely breathe.
Mike: cass youre usually good about this stuff. What is going on?
Cass: I dont know.
Mike: talk to me.
Everything I was feeling all came back and flooded through me. I couldnt hold it in. again I burst into tears.
Cass: its everything. Mom, you, dad, this, joe. I cant take it anymore.
Mike: what? Cant take what?
Cass: EVERYTHING!
Mike: look. Im gonna go home ok. Give you time to breathe. And tell dad.
Cass: hes not here?
Mike: no.
That was the last blow that my heart could take. My own father wasnt even here to see if I was ok.
Cass: whatever.
I turned to my side and pulled the covers over my head. I heard Michael sigh and his footsteps fades as he walked out of the room. I quickly fell asleep exhausted from everything. But then I woke up to the faint sound of someone singing.

Sorry I havent posted. Im so busy. CALIFORNIA IS BURINING! My dance thing was cancelled because of the fires that are like literally by my house. I cant breathe! Hahaha anywho THANK YOU SO MUCH! Oh and check out typ112s story. Its pretty cool!
