Precision playing by Lew Stone and his band during it's most dazzling years it's residency at the stylish and slick Monseigneur Restaurant in London's Piccadilly. Shortly after this the Band embarked on a variety tour and did not return to the Monseigneur due to the closure of the nightspot.

Al Bowlly fans will be pleased to hear the man himself giving a stylish vocal as ever he did. Enjoy.

I've just played the Ben Pollack version (issued in UK on Reg. Zon.) It is totally out classed by the sophisticated sound of Lew Stone's Monseignneur Band. Al Bowlly's vocal is the icing on the cake.

Nice period cover too!

I have just got hold of Lew Stone with Al singing I Double Dare You . One of Paula Greens numbers on you tube.

Al always puts a tingle down my spine - and yet he was dead some 15 years before I came into the world.
