  • Uses two AA batteries under the drive. So, 3 volts total. Not much power at all and not enough battery to get it hot. You can easily stop the solenoid arm with your finger.

  • hello, you are using 3 volts battery rights?

  • @outdoorextremo

Yes. Two 1.5 volt AA batteries will do it. They are in a holder under the drive.

  • Вопрос, а нахуя собстно было это делать? КПД простого мотора на порядок больше.

  • Pretty slick man.

  • hook er up to the computer we got the hard drive running again

  • I like this. It is simple and made with readily available parts. Great Job!

  • how long is the connecting rod?

  • How much strength can we get from it without burning the solenoid arm ?

Is the noise generated by mechanic impacts that can be removed ?

Is it possible to use it as a generator spinning the disk ?

    Thanks for this video !

  • Great!..How much power does that little solenoid have? say against your finger..does it get hot if you leave it loaded?

  • That is something I'm gonna do. Well done! thanks for posting.
