Life

Mesrine buildup in a middle class family. On 21 June 1979 Mesrine kidnapped the millionaire Henri and extorted six million franc. Thus it became the public enemy number one ("“ennemi public un"”).

The French press partly clarified it to a romantic Spitzbuben. Mesrine gave even interviews, in which he tried to convince the public of a political motivation of his acting. It was in addition much in its own public interests. It murdered almost the French journalist Jaques Tillier, because its articles did not please it over it. Jacques Mesrine became more and more the living legend. A criminal did not zollte the French public more respect.

The French ministry of the Interior had now enough and requested the police to concentrate their efforts toward the arrest from Mesrine to.
