Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Telecoms and Media, and responsible for internet policy, delivered the 2009 Ludwig Erhard lecture at the Lisbon Council in Brussels on Thursday and said that with the right approach, more than a million new jobs can be created in Europe if the right policies are adopted.

  • I firmly believe that the Green Knowledge Society is the way for Europe to grow against the other main economies. What the Commissioner is trying to say, is that the future is in the hands of the Internet users, and not in the major companies or governments.
