Waldo Stakes and Larry Hayes of Hesperia California get the Huge Thermojet pulse jet running at last. It was tempermental and would go out of pulse at a whisper no matter how much time and money was spent on the engine. It was installed in a motorcycle streamliner named "Fast Eddie" owned by Waldo. Later because the engine was so tempermental waldo renamed the bike "Defiant" and after another year or two of frustration he abandoned the project.
