The reason that blob ate all of them was because that dumb b*tch Rachel got it high.if you look at the scene where Rachel is touching the blob you will notice she is also holding a joint on the same hand that she is touching it with.so basically it's all her fault that every one got eaten. that blob had just eaten a duck & was probably full.but then it noticed the teenagers swimming in it's lake and went to welcome them & that's when Rachel offered it a joint & the blob got the munchie's.
