Telling your boss you need a nap might not be the smartest thing to do at work, but scientific evidence is now on your side. As this ScienCentral News video explains, sleep researchers just released a new study that says naps over an hour long may boost creative problem solving. http://www.sciencentral.com/video/
Did he say more than "16" or "60" minutes to get REM sleep?

It seems, though, that I'm more creative when I get less sleep.

Well, science proved this which is good, but most people knew that already, not with scientifically proofs but it was obvious :) Thanks tho.

I have, intuitively, known this all along, and can feel the difference after a good nap or sleep. It is those crazy people who tell you that you need to WORK harder at solving a problem that are misinformed!!! GREAT WORK scientists!! YEAH!!! It is very hard to work as a RIGHT-Brained person in a LEFT-Brained America!...keep up the RIGHT-Brain stuff.....bye zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Only reasons I can think of are:
- they put gel on those electrodes and it stains
- they want to look like they know what they are doing for the cameras
- they have stethoscope envy
- they think wearing them will inhibit the nappers from asking the researchers to join them in bed
