Not everything that is good is as it first appears. Waste not want not. The only thing that I see that is gross is the way good food is wasted as many go hungry. You may want to yard sale buy/find a collapsable luggage dolley. They are TINY when broken down & would double your hauling capacity. A 4 wheel radio flyer type cart with rubber tires *quiet* would be a great addition to help the haul. Good luck on your educational goals.
