This aircheck is from the weekend news in June, 1985. KJRH was and to this day is the #3 station in the market. Of note, is a very young twentysomething Mike Morgan, now the chief meteorologist at KFOR in Oklahoma City. The Frank Gari "Hello News" package is used to good effect here.

  • I had no idea Mike Morgan worked at KJRH. I know he worked at KOCO 5 in OKC before he went to KFOR, and he's still at KFOR 4 in OKC.

  • @StephonDWatson I was about to say that.

  • Is that Dude Walker doing the VO?

  • This logo looks similar to WESH-TV logo.

  • That signature at the end of "Hello News" makes the whole package.

  • Suppose you grew up in a city that had a TV station use this version of Hello News. Don't you wish that same station could bring Hello News, just like WKBW in Buffalo brought back Move Closer to Your World? IMO, this version of Hello News is by far the best package.

  • KARK in Little Rock, another NBC, was big on this package.
