So if someone throws the disc and it's in the air as the clock hits zeroes and it gets caught for a goal, does that count?

get fucked, spirit of the game comes into it and player 88 never had a chance on that disc so hes got to suck it up.

Not a foul. The referee didn't call it. Also, this is not USA Ultimate rules. This is AUDL.

number 88, he had the position and brodie smith has contact with him, a contact which makes him loose the position he had. Of course it is a foul!!!

Incorrect, he makes first contact at about :35. If you go frame by frame and watch where their feet are, it is pretty clear

(cont 3) The player not only has to focus on making a full-force jump, but also on completely avoiding air space of other players
This sort of "strategic jumping" requires a very high skill level, and is almost impossible to get consistently for even the really great ultimate players
Brodie is an Ultimate player with a lot of skill, and yet even he makes unavoidable fouls like this all the time
In conclusion, the air space violation/air contact rules are ineffective and SHOULD BE CHANGED!

(cont) This is clearly visible at 0:35 if you compare the positions of their feet
Besides, a jump with as much height as Brodie's would definitely require at least a couple of fast steps to gain momentum - none of the other players had much opportunity to take steps
So if Brodie had the better positioning and better jump, why should this be a foul?
Well, In theory, the superior player should be able to get a sky while avoiding the air space foul
In practice, however, this is VERY hard (cont)
