On January 29th eBay announced they:

lowered their Insertion Fee by $.05-$.80 (depending on your starting price) majority of small sellers will be $.05-$.15
lowered some of the other "extras" (that most sellers don't even use anyway)
made Gallery free (FINALLY)about time they give us a little break

BUT

INCREASED the Final Value Fee (FVF) from 5.25% to 8.75% (a 66% FVF increase) INCREASED/DOUBLED the Reserve Fee from $1.00 to $2.00 and made it NON-REFUNDABLE (used to be refundable if your reserve price was met)now, they get the fee everytime tou use it/sell it or not???
INCREASED the FVF on stores from 10% to 12%
Is taking away the seller's right to leave neutral or negative feedback to buyers who deserve it (buyers will only be able to receive positive feedback when the new policy goes into effect)No seller will ever be able to leave a NEG for any buyer, EVER AGAIN???!!!!

AND

PayPal WILL HOLD payment funds until either the buyer has left positive Feedback or 21 days have passed without a claim if they (PayPal) determine that the risk of dissatisfied buyers is high with you, the seller. So in other words, as a smaller seller, they will make you wait upto 21 days for the money you were paid for an item to show up in your Paypal account...So, customers will be able to have their items in their possession for well over 2 weeks before you have actually seen the payment in your account...
SO WHO'S HANDS IS ALL YOUR MONEY IN FOR 3 WEEKS...DRAWING INTEREST??? Hmmmmmm.....

Lost $4,900 on a Tektronix Oscilloscope by eBay scammer "TestEquipmentSurplus"out of Anaheim, CA.

The seller Joon Kyong said "We ship item!" but the Oscilloscope never arrived and his phone was "No Longer in Service"

We called to file a resolution center complaint, asking if the team could help us bust Mr. Kyong, the seller who ripped us off.

The PayPal/eBay Fraud Investigation Team said they would NOT investigate anything without a written Court Order from an Anaheim Circuit Judge.

good news for australian ebayers, buyers and sellers, all these charges and not what the compulsory use of paypal and all this other shit, have been deem illegal. If ebay wishes to do busness in australia, they have to abide by australian law, which means a minimum of 3 payment methods, all the bull shit fees have to go bye, byes, they have declared themselves an auction website. They have to abide by australian auction laws.
