  • This show was produced by CBS but then put on the shelf for several years. When they finally decided to just run off the episodes from May to September 1967 as summer filler, CBS was stunned when the show became a major hit. The network immediately tried to sign Frank Converse for another season, but it was too late. He'd already signed to star in the ABC cop show "N.Y.P.D." What did the words Coronet Blue mean? We never found out as production never resumed past the initial 13 episodes.

  • Not sure what he's been up to in awhile. I just caught him on an old Columbo show and remember him from this show. I always thought he had a very cool persona. Kinda of the Steve McQueen effect.

  • great show. too bad it ended without a wrap-up. whatever happened to Frank Converse?
