Question ... instead of using Upstart Goblin why don't you just use Jar of Greed.

@88riddlemethis you have to set it first. can get MSTd on your endphase, or can get negated via trap stun etc etc. to make it short, it's just too slow for this kind of deck.

@vnecksinc I gotcha. You can activate Upstart on that same turn so you don't have to wait like with Jar of Greed. You're right, it's a lot faster.
