Keynote Speakers:

Professor James A. Joseph, former Ambassador to South Africa, and Duke University Professor of the Practice of Public Policy Studies speaking on the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Baldemar Velasquez President, FLOC. The Farm Labor Organizing Committee, AFL-CIO is both a social movement and a labor union. Our immediate constituency is migrant workers in the agricultural industry, but we are also involved with immigrant workers, Latinos, our local communities, and national and international coalitions concerned with justice. The FLOC vision emphasizes human rights as the standard and self-determination as the process for achieving these rights. We struggle for full justice for those who have been marginalized and exploited for the benefit of others, and we work to change the structures of society to enable these people a direct voice in their own conditions.

  • Massacres are committed by communist filth like the Wallers. This was simple self-defense against the most murderous movement in human history.

  • Yelling death to the Klan is a first amendment right. Being a communist is a political position. It is not a crime. People do not deserve to die because the political group they belong to.

  • They were Communist were looking for trouble and they found it. The Communists attacked the KKK and were yelling at them in a violent way, what did they expect? Most anyone who was armed would of defended themselves. This was not a non-violent demonstration. Communism is atheistic (that is their foundation), so one cannot be a christian and a Communist. The Communists have always saw Christianity as a foe and persecuted them. I have empathy for the people killed, but this could of been avoided!

  • They were Communist were looking for trouble and they found it.

  • I think the point they were trying to make was certainly valid and important. However, yelling at people and telling them to die and attacking their vehicles isn't what i would call peaceful protesting. If you are intentionally poking the bee hive you will get stung eventually.
