A performance of the saxophone version of "Shadowgraph" (1977) by George Lewis.

This performance took place at a live concert of the New World Music Ensemble (dir. Philip Gelb) featuring guest composer/performer George Lewis, at Dohnanyi Recital Hall, Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida, United States, February 26, 1993, following a week-long residency with the composer, organized by Philip Gelb.

The musicians are David Badagnani, oboe; and Jesse Canterbury, bass clarinet.

George Lewis (b. Chicago, 1952) is a legendary trombonist, improvisor, composer, electronic musician, educator, and scholar who has been a member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) since 1971.
