Now, there are several methods to make a dimple on a tie. Pinch and pull, make an M with the fabric of the tie, put your finger/pen inside the knot, etc.
To me, this one is the most graphic and easiest.
Why make a dimple? Just because that way your tie drapes better. The simplistic look of a flat, GQ-style tie has its place, but 90% of the time, a dimple will look so much better.

Me parece que prácticamente nadie en Latinoamerica hace dobladillos en sus corbatas, luego de que estos fueran tan fundamentales como los pañuelos en la bolsa del saco.
¿Porqué hacer un dobladillo?
Por que trae más atención a la cara, alarga el nudo de tu corbata, le da un mejor efecto de luz y sombra y se ve más elegante. El nudo simplista de la corbata lisa tiene su lugar, pero el 90% de las veces, una corbata se verá mejor con un doblez.
