so? so are dogs, and people aren't afraid of them. So are cats, birds, and mice, and people aren't afraid of them. And yet anytime a bat comes around everyone freaks out because it MIGHT have rabies. People have just been trained to be biased against certain animals that's all.

It IS important to wear the right kind of clothing when catching bats. Non reflective surfaces make you quieter at the higher spectrum.

Hey, you call them pussies, but I have had 2 bats fly in at one time, and it is ridiculously creepy, they fly unpredictably, and are faster than birds. Honestly, I screamed like a girl and ran away, but my friends found, since bats react to sound, chasing it out through a door or window with a loud sound (yelling, hitting something together, etc.) will usually make it fly away from you, and chasing it out is easier and will not harm you or the bat. I know I am a coward, but I fucking hate bats!

We did end up catching it. Actually I should say "they did". After a few failed attempts using a laundry basket (after being pin'd the creature shreaked and came through one of the laundry basket holes) Finally ended up catching it in a cardboard box and throwing it outside.
