This is the most famous standup act of Russian-born standup comedian (and psychologist) Yakov Smirnoff who emigrated to the USA and became famous there.
In this act (performed for The Dangerfield's, at the 9th Annual Young Comedians Special) he's talking about his moving to the USA and the problems of settling down in a new country.
I should say it's a must for any standup-lovers, but, I guess all of you have already seen is a zillion times :)

    Russians have a great sense of humor, I agree.

    In general, I guess Easter.Europeans have developed a superb sense of humor - and superb comedy - exactly because we HAD TO BE real smart about it, because of all the censoring and opressive system. When you can't freely say everything, that's exactly the time when smart comedy and humor thrives. That's, I guess, why Eastern Europe is so great in humor and comedy.
