RE-UPLOADED BECAUSE I WAS DUMB AND UPLOADED AN INCOMPLETE VIDEO LAST TIME.

A quick review of the bizarre and haunting hidden gem from the 70s. This is right next to Bagi: The Monster of Mighty Nature and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark on my list of great movies that need proper DVD releases. When people say "They don't make them like they used to," this is usually what they mean.

Dammit, I made my voice a bit too high. I need to do videos like this more consistently so I can pound it into my own thick skull how to do them right.

My next review will either be of the Animal Planet Blair Witch-style anthology series The Lost Tapes or of another forgotten classic from the 70s, Gargoyles.

  • What was the name of the music played in the movie?

  • I'd tell you if I knew myself. I know the song itself is called "Jennie" or something, but I don't know who its by.

  • It is the 'Largo' part of a Vivaldi Lute concerto in D major.

  • No, I'm positive that isn't it. Just watch the movie, you can see it here on YouTube. The song is in the opening credits.

  • Dude, lose the stupid voice, please.

  • I remember this movie when I was 9 or 10. Loved the gigantic sea turtle but the Vivaldi music and the creepy romance and vibe struck with me. Seeing this movie made me more a classical music fan.

  • Made by Rankin Bass???? The same people who did Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer? ???GTFOH!!!! This movie fucked with my head after watching it. I was maybe 9 or 10. I see I'm not the only one who has issues with it! LOL! Seriously. Do we need to form a support group?

Show this to that kid who says, " I like *toytles* " and see how much he likes the damn things then!

  • @sugarlahlah Same thing here, 41, an sought out this movie again recently. I'm wondering when I should let my two sons watch it, or not. I think it will make them more spiritual.

  • I have been hunting for this movie since I saw it in the late 70s when I was 7 or 8 years old. It has haunted me since that day I stayed home sick w/ the flu from school.

  • Saw it when I was 6,and it has stayed with me. It fucked me up(in a good way).

  • @CaptGage The first time I saw it was on the CBS late movie.

  • @sugarlahlah I am 40, and fully agree. I actually taped it on a BETA cassette, but long since erased it.

  • @sugarlahlah Solidarity!

  • YOU SOUND LIKE FRED!!!

  • this movie has haunted me since a kid,and still does and i'm 41 now!
