@RC1309 That's exactly what I thought. She's been propsed to by men in other worlds (including a king) but always chose to return to Earth, and I kept hoping it would be for Captain Yates.
A beautiful moment in "Doctor Who"'s history - not far behind the departure of Susan for poignancy. (Naughty old Doctor, though, drinking and driving like that...)
Jo and The Dr's farewell is very moving - because it's very English. Very little is said or needs to be said. That's what's missing from the newer series. The new show has gotten way too touchy/feely. Yes there are some nifty effects - but the show has lost its Englishness.
