QSO with Edward in Shrewsbury located in the county of Shropshire (formerly Salop), in central England, close to the Welsh border on UHF 433.450Mhz. He was using an Icom IC-2725 Dual Band FM Transceiver @ 5 watts output into a vertical Aerial. His signals to me were 5/9+60db & we were about 50 Miles apart. Thanks for the nice QSO Edward & congratulations on recently attaining your advanced amateur radio licence & new callsign, i hope you have lots of fun with it.
My TX/RX was an Icom IC2725 @ 5 watts output into a Watson W-770HB 2m/70cm Dualbander. My QRA was Axe Edge Moore DX Spot @ 515 Meters / 1690 Feet ASL. Near Thatch Marsh & just under 2 Miles away from the Cat & Fiddle Inn, Macclesfield. Latitude: 53°13'50.32"N, Longitude: 1°57'38.85"W.

Very good video Dave,I own a Yaesu FT8900 quadbander in my home...........I do like your Icom radio,how old is it ,is it a current model??.I have a brand new Kenwood radio to put in my van the APRS model with the big screen ..........I forgot the number of it,but there £429 new........swopping it over with my trusty FT1500M thats been in there 6 years now.......DAVE (M0OGY)

Hi Dave,
I've had the Icom you see in the video about 4 years since it was new & i believe you can still get hold of them. I have found it to be a very good performer & enjoy using it. I think your Kenwood will be the TM-710E with APRS on it.
The Yaesu FT-8900 & FT8800 radios are really good Dave & i will upload some video of mine soon & the FT1500M is built like a tank.

To further the above comments, the Icom IC-2725E is still a current model & ML&S have them on their web site for £273.99 Inc VAT.
W&S PLC are advertising the on their web site for £319.95 !!! WTF!!!............
Just goes to show that it always pays to shop around, you may even find them cheaper than this elsewhere.
