  • This is from the Cakewalk Ballet, which was arranged and orchestrated by Hershy Kay. Although the ballet was based largely on the music of Louis Moreau Gottschalk, this particular piece was not. It is an American folk song.

  • 'Won't You Buy My Pretty Flowers' wasn't written by Gottschalk but used by him in this suite.

  • I have always known tihis as " Won't you buy my pretty flowers" played it for years on piano and keyboard and did not know it was by Gottschalk. Its wonderful thanks for posting.
