Christopher G Keene has the audience at his Chamber Choir's concert singing in beautiful 3-part harmony in a matter of minutes! Easing the audiences nerves by teaching the melody to the choir (who had never heard it) first, he then teaches some harmony parts and the song starts moving! Note the phrasing, diction, and tone quality possible even in a huge audience that has mostly never sung before, high expectations breed high caliber performance!

  • I love the way thise gives the audience a glimpse of what a music class might be. Could you send me a list of some other songs that you might use during one of your concerts? I would love to try this at my school! Thanks!

  • @lancerburnett Hi there!

    I really appreciate it! Thanks!

What age level do you teach, and where? I have some other songs I'm working on that I'd love to share. I'm actuallty thinking about posting some videos of me walking through the process for teaching songs like this, would that be interesting to you?

    Thanks again! Keep singing!

  • That was amazing!I am trying to learn to harmonise and came across this!Glad I did .I also believe everyone should sing :)

  • @cksirgent Everyone can sing, barring a severe mental or physical disability. People talk about "born singers" and "natural talent" but I have never seen a baby come out of the womb and sing a song. It's all training and muscle memory, I don't believe there is a person on Earth (again, barring a severe mental or physical disability) who couldn't learn to sing well with a few years of consistent training. Let me know how your harmony learning goes!

  • That is a GREAT arrangement! Also, you have a presence that really encourages the audience to participate :-) I hope to replicate this with my choir!! Well done!

  • @julietbravo69 Thank you so much! I hope you do replicate it! Audiences LOVE This stuff as it is a chance for them to share in the music making, if you need some ideas on songs to use for interactive concerts send me a message!
