Big Ben at Midnight

The last night I was in London, myself and my dear friends went, ok sprinted, to St. Stephen's Tower to see Big Ben at midnight. Right after we said goodbye to St. Stephen's Tower, it's lights shut off. We think it was saying goodbye back.

I think the tower's just called the Clock Tower, not St. Stephens. Nevertheless it still sounds as magnificently imperial as it must have when there was an Empire.

Big ben is one of the great landmarks of London. I was born and raised in London and have lived most of my life in the city. At one time I had a flat that was within hearing distant of Big Ben. I remember at night time when I used to go to bed I could hear the chimes in the distance. If you ever come to London - enjoy yourself and have a peaceful time. Bearhug. Tx
