En 1969 Jim Morrison filmó una pelicula llamada "HWY: An American Pastoral", con la ayuda de Frank Lisciandro, Paul Ferrara y Babe Hill. Con Fred Myrow en la Musica y el ingeniero de sonido Bruce Botnick. La pelicula es deficiente visualmente hablando y deja mucho que desear en cuanto a producción se refiere, pero es una oportunidad de ver a Morrison en otra de sus facetas que no son tan conocidas.

Morrison is the icon of the West. He did capture the free-wheeling American spirit in his movie. I dig it. I was born in 1965 and remember hearing the Doors on the radio as a young kid, since I always had the radio on. This movie was made in 1969 and I have always felt a kinship to Jim and the Doors that is for life. I like the guy in the gas station who wipes his front window - wow, what a bygone era; you'd never get that kind of service today ha.
