The vibrator is there to show you that even with the most SHAKY of hands, you too can do SMD soldering.
I find that people don't use good soldering iron which is the problem almost 99% of the time. the $10 one at RadioShack is NOT very good for SMD work... Buy a $150 iron once you get into the small stuff, as burnt components will quickly make up the difference from the $10 RS iron.
