So its 2,500 pumps for a glass of water? How much pump force? Seems you would sweat more than that using the pump.

sswwweeeeeettttt!!!!

Reverse osmosis, that just makes me laugh.
-
How much water can it produce before the self-cleaning filter dies? I'm assuming the filter doesn't self-clean indefinitely?

I have just found this web.WOW I'am immpressd with how she bring this.love at first sight

I think it could be a bit more ergonomic. For 900 bucks I'd expect it to feel nice and snug in my hands. It looks kind of awkward. Maybe a longer handle and a piston pump to build pressure faster. Just thinking is all.

@MrEinZwei emergencies for people who make translatlantic voyages in one of their big fucking expensive yachts.

@dickweeeeeeeeeed mmm the words 'pump' and 'video' used in the same sentence adresing a woman on the internetz...
...must!...resist!....pun!....
Yeah, I knew these were expensive. I hear they can get rid of stuff like Sodium Fluoride as well. Is there any truth to that?

That's about 5 drops or water a second.
Alternative would be an inflatable solar still.
agun17 1 year ago
@agun17 Yes I will be covering the solar still next! The solar still method works and is much cheaper than 900$ device BUT you need plastic, sun and lots of time for it to all work , whereas the pump is ready to go right away.

That is a Neat filter. Too bad its so much money. I do not like Katadyn though I have had two of their "Hiker" pumps break on me with light usage. Still a good idea.
davidsquall351 1 year ago
@davidsquall351 Yes, I have used gravity water filters and various hand pump models whilst hiking, Katadyn was NOT my favorite choice for a hiking pump, however the Katadyn Reverse Osmosis was the most affordable model I have come across thus far.
