Habitat loss.
Killed for commercial reasons (fur ...), leopard-human conflict, hunt for fun. Kept unfree (zoos..., in small cages without vegetation + exhibited all day to another species). Used as tourist attractions. Petted. And surely others...


3) Small description
opportunistic hunt, adaptability to habitats, max speed 58 kms/h (36 mph), ability to climb trees even with heavy carcass, stealth.
Its habitat ranged from rainforest to desert terrains. Elusive, solitary and largely nocturnal, it had to compete for food and shelter with predators such as lions, tigers, spotted hyenas, African & Asiatic wild dogs.

@pyk420biatch hyena has a greater bite force. the fact that hyenas have a clan and a leopard dosent mean's if he gets injured he cant hunt and dies so leopard avoid fights at all cost unless desperate.

@eggzeck I think you are the dumbass, they are both about the same size but the leopard is by far faster, more agile and has claws. Pure stength goes to the leopard as well.Only thing they hyena has is numbers.

Well lads, i think the lesson here is that patience and witt will always win over sheer brutal strenght....even if there's a quarter of baboon as a prize ! ;-)
