  • nice !

  • @67tr876 Thanks

  • Great job , I have never heard the tip about the duct tape !!! Its a freakin NIGHTMARE to tape up a suction line that has 5000 holes in the armourflex (rubetex)...

I hear putsome5tank refering to the insulation (armorflex lol ) ,as rubetex all the time is that the manufacturer? Good job man !!!

  • @fritzhvac Thanks for the comments, try the duct tape on the line set next remodel your nightmare will be over and it only takes five minute.Armaflex and rubatex are two pipe insulation company .

  • We would have all kinds of problems here (VA) with humidifiers in the attic... not that I haven't seen a couple. I'm guessing you're in Dallas?

  • @FilterChanger The humidifier is a honeywell flow through I haven't had any problem but Ihave been on jobs where the ducts were not size correctly (to much static pressure) which cause it to leak.I live in california it dry out here and my name is Dallas.

  • is there any problemes with gas pressure drop in attic installations? or how do you run the gas pipe up?

  • Must not be to cold where you live, I would think that I would have freezing problems here.

    I like the tape idea.

I agree on attic fans. Ridge vent system is the way to go. That or even better foam the roof joist and gables and bring the attic into the envelope. Then your ducts are in conditioned space and no oven above your ceiling.

R8x3 layer = R24 duct insulation, impressive. Way to much fiberglass action for me. I'm getting soft in my old age.

  • That's a sweet-looking install. I like the custom attic fan mount. Bending metal in the field isn't difficult if you know what you're doing. I shy away from wrapping the entire lineset with duct tape, though I understand why you did it. It's just nice to see a neat installation. Good work, dude.
