  • to some exrent I believe registry should be used. I would say stuff like:

    <4.1inch barrel handgun

Caliber greater than .50BMG (mostly Cannons and Anti-Tank rounds)

I do believe some registeration is required but not to the extent of the ones we have currently. Switzerland is a great example. Every house hold has an assault rifle (semi and full automatic rifle) Yet they're not used ever in a crime. Why? Because the dangerous one are tracable easily (better than the canadian registry

  • ya death to the fuckin gun registry

  • Oh man, still believing the domino theory just like Communism how many historian think it really happened?

    (Long Silence)

yea, Long gun registry is purely remove because a meter stick is unpractical to use as a weapon compared to a HANDGUN that is ILLEGALLY smuggled so registry is not required. Had the registry used to help in a case, the Gun Control fans would've been all over it, but they didn't so there isn't. Also the $2billion spent in registry many was spend on sponsering lobby groups!

  • The gun registry and the gun licensing systems are complete failures for two distinct reasons.

    1) The people do not trust the government and as such, less than 30% of the guns in this country are registered

    2) Criminals are not deterred by not being able to get a license due to ineligibility...they can still get them from smuggling operations or from theft.

  • The Long Gun Registry is an ineffective bureaucratic waste. For that reason alone, it ought to be eliminated.

I don't think everyone ought to be allowed to own a gun - but a system of registration for firearms is not the way to selectively determine who should own a gun and who should not.

  • yes we the people have had enough fuckin around we want our fucking guns back and thats the bottom line once we get rid of the long gun registry we will get rid of the hand gun and assault rifle registry as well
